Review: The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, The Barn Theatre Cirencester

The Rise and Fall of Little Voice is a play I’m very familiar with, having studied it for my GCSE drama course. So when I heard it was playing at my local theatre (Sarah Louise Hughes who plays Little Voice was phenomenal. She has a very powerful voice and was able to capture the vulnerability of the character. On the other end of the spectrum, Gillian McCafferty as Mari (Little Voice’s mother), is definitely an entertainer. She had me in stitches throughout the evening. Sadly the play finishes its run this week (on the 11th August), but if you’re local Read More…

Surviving my first long haul flight

A few weeks ago I hopped on a plane with a few friends and travelled a long 11 hours to the West coast of the United States. We had six days in San Francisco and one day in Los Angeles. Nessie hunting on Loch Ness

Ryan and I broke up in early December as well. After our tour of Fort William and Ben Nevis we headed further north to Loch Ness with hopes of finding the Loch Ness monster. 😉 We stayed at the Loch Less exhibition centre and had a Nessie hunting tour booked for the afternoon. The captain who took us out into the loch was Read More…

Scottish Highlands: Ben Nevis

After a busy few days in Edinburgh, Ryan and I continued our road trip and headed into the Scottish highlands. Our first stop was the Famous Grouse distillery which unfortunately wasn’t open for another hour when we arrived! 🙁 But we took some photos and made a note to go back again at some point. In fact there are many things we want to go back and do in the Highlands. We headed west towards Fort William and stopped off at a lovely cafe / hostel for breakfast on the way. Check out the stunning views we enjoyed while tucking Read More…
