The Autumn & Fall Tag

I did an Autumn tag earlier this season and have now been tagged in two(!) more. So, as Autumn is by far my favourite season and some of the questions are different, I’ve decided to answer both tags in one post. ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ๐ŸŒณ

The Autumn Tag II

First up is the Autumn Tag which Michael kindly nominated me for, you can read his answers here.

What signifies the start of Autumn for you?

When it starts to get darker earlier and the leaves are changing colour and falling from the trees. Also seeing boots and knitwear popping up in high street stores.

What is your favourite Autumn scent?

I wouldnโ€™t say itโ€™s my favourite scent but thereโ€™s something about the smell of a bonfire on Bonfire Night that appeals to me. Or the smell of a coal burning fire, we used to have one when we were little and it was lovely to sit in front of on a crisp morning.

What is your favourite Autumn colour?

I love burgundy for clothing and the burnt orange colour leaves change into this time of year.

A recent walk through Bathurst Estate, Cirencester.
Are you a fan of PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte)?

I’ve never tried one! But that’s mostly because I don’t like coffee.

What is your favourite Autumn drink?

Definitely a cup of hot chocolate.

What’s your favourite coffee shop and their drink of choice?

I love a soya hot chocolate from Costa Coffee or a coconut milk one from Coffee One.

Apple Pie or Pumpkin Pie?

I haven’t tried either!

What TV show, new or old, are you looking forward to in the next few months?

I’m happy to see The Walking Dead and Doctor Who back this season! ๐Ÿ˜

As for new shows, Iโ€™m looking forward to The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina which is coming to Netflix.

What is your favourite Autumn fashion trend?

It has to be warm jumpers and cardigans and fuzzy socks, I also love bobble hats when it gets a lot colder.

A dress with tights and boots is one of my go to outfits this time of year.

What is your favourite comfort food to enjoy in the colder months?

Chilli con carne, spaghetti bolognese and soups.

What is your favourite Autumn activity?

I enjoy a long Autumn walk, preferably through a pile or crunchy leaves.

Do you like horror movies?

Yes! In fact I celebrated my love of horror movies earlier last month with the horror movie tag.

Do you ever do anything fun for Halloween?

Yep, whether that’s going to a local Halloween party, throwing one ourselves or watching horror movies on Halloween night. We always do something to celebrate.

What was your favourite part about Halloween as a child?

It has to be all the Halloween nights Iโ€™ve spent with my dad decorating the house and handing out sweets to the trick or treaters. Also carving pumpkins!

Are you a bigger fan of Bonfire Night or Halloween?

Halloween! ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ‘ป

Where is your dream destination to visit in Autumn?

Iโ€™d love to visit the historic town of Salem, Massachusetts.

Do you always forget about the clocks going back?

Not anymore! My phone updates it for me but I used to be terrible at remembering to do it before.

When do you usually start preparing for Christmas?

I buy presents to put up for Christmas and birthdays throughout the year, but I don’t start planning what I’ll be doing over the holidays until after Bonfire night, so I’d say mid November.

The Fall Tag

Next up is the Fall Tag which the lovely Charlotte tagged me in. You can read her answers here.

1. What is one candle you MUST light every fall?

Cinnamon or Winter berry scents. I also love lavender and vanilla.

2. When you think of fall, what does it remind you of?

As above – When it starts to get darker earlier and the leaves are changing colour and falling from the trees. Also seeing boots and knitwear popping up in high street stores.

3. What is your all time favourite fall/halloween movie?

Practical Magic definitely gets me in the mood for Autumn. The setting of the movie alone is enough to make me long for cooler weather, I love the quaint little town they live in. Also witches so itโ€™s great for Halloween too.

4. What halloween costume do you have in mind?

I’m pretty sure my family and I are being the Addams Family again this year but we’re also toying at going as the Scooby Gang. Watch this space!

5. What is your favourite fall trend?

As above – Warm jumpers and cardigans and fuzzy socks. Along with dresses worn with tights and boots.

6. When you think of fall, what drink comes to mind?

Hot chocolate!

7. What is your go to fall beauty product? A must have!

The Lush sparkly pumpkin. ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŽƒ

8. Do you prefer apple pie or pumpkin pie?

As above – I haven’t tried either!

9. Do you have any fall traditions? If so tell us about it!

My dad and I carve a pumpkin every Halloween and he always come up with inventive designs. We also decorate the house for Halloween – this year we have pumpkin tinsel, hanging decorations and an inflatable pumpkin.

10. The moment of truth, is fall your favourite season?

Yes! ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ‘ป๐ŸŽ†

I tag…

Imogen, Ruth, Bexa, Sophie and Lauren to do either the Autumn or Fall Tag (or both!).

I’m obsessed with Burgundy! Although I do prefer Bonfire Night – I’ve never really celebrated Halloween. I bloody love fireworks – they’re one of my favourite things ever!

I do love fireworks but we’ve always done more things for Halloween as kids. I think that’s why I love it so much. Thanks for your comment. x
