Paris Trip – Day 3 – Disneyland!

During my recent trip to Paris (catch up on Day 1 and Day 2) with my friend Kelly, we spent the 3rd day in Disneyland! We had a one day ticket covering both parks – I brought a Lion King vest top and an Eeyore hoody to wear. Lion King vest: Hot Topic, Eeyore hoody: New Look We got on the train early morning and made our way on the train to Disneyland, it was about 45 minutes from Charles de Gualle – Etoille metro station (the one for the Arc de Triomphe). Paris Trip – Day 2 – Catacombs, museums and pretty lights

Catch up on Day 1 of our Paris trip here! We started off day 2 of our trip with breakfast from the bakery near our hotel and caught the metro to our first destination – The Catacombs of Paris. We arrived just before 11am and there was already a queue forming. We expected to queue as the website advised hour waits were likely during busy periods… 3 hours later(!) we finally got to the end of the queue. I think they need to update their website. 😉 The Catacombs were a very interesting and at times, creepy experience. They were Read More…

Paris Trip – Day 1 – Train journeys and the Eiffel Tower

I have just come back from a long weekend in Paris with my friend Kelly! It was an amazing trip and we got a lot done in the few days we were there, including a trip to Disneyland. You can read about days 2, 3 and 4 here: Day 2 – , Day 3 – Disneyland Paris, Day 4 – . We flew with Easy Jet and stayed in the Ibis Paris Eiffel which, as the name suggests was near the Eiffel Tower. Our room was fairly basic but the location was perfect with a metro station, bakery, small supermarket Read More…

Evening routines and getting a better nights sleep

My evening routine and, as a result, my sleeping patterns have been a huge mess lately, I’ve been struggling to fall asleep and often find my self staying up late in some vain attempt to tire myself out. I spend a lot of lost time on social media or reading lifestyle and fitness blog posts until the early hours, with a handful of fashion posts thrown in as well. I’ve also been known to binge watch TV shows… :-/ I’m looking at you, ‘The Walking Dead’, and you ‘Pretty Little Liars’! Some days I would sleep 5 hours, the next Read More…

The Phoenix Festival

The day after Reading festival, Ryan and I decided to go to another festival, and this one was a lot closer to home – The Phoenix festival in Cirencester. It’s a two day event held in Cirencester’s Abbey Grounds and 2017 celebrates its 5th birthday. The festival focuses on local musicians – one of my favourite local bands, Subslider, performed Saturday afternoon – and tribute artists. This year’s headline acts were Los Palmas 6 (Madness tribute) and David Live (David Bowie tribute). The event has two main stages, an open mic stage, a DJ booth and a performer’s arena. It’s very Read More…

Day ticket to Reading festival 2017

Ryan and I bought a day ticket to Reading festival last Saturday, mostly to see headline act, Eminem! We’ve both been fans of his for the past 20 years or so but have never seen him live. This was our first festival experience! We left early Saturday morning and made the short trip down the motorway to Reading, rain had been forecast most of the week but it turned out to be glorious sunshine on the day. 🌞🌡 Once we got to the festival and parked up we had a 25 minute walk from the car park to the festival Read More…
