Finding lost content with PHPMyAdmin – I’m back!

It took a few months, but my website is finally re-populated! There may be a few broken images/links as I haven’t had the opportunity to go through and check every page yet. I waned to get the main content back online first. How’d I do it? Asked my host for a copy of my previous WordPress databsase adding to MySQL and for a fresh WordPress installation. I couldn’t access my CPanel or FTP server. Through PHPMyAdmin, I exported my previous WordPress database, for both posts and comments on to my computer and then imported them into the new database. Shiney and New!

Hello! You may have noticed a lot of down time on my website lately, long story short, I was over the bandwidth available for the package I was on! It’s now been upgraded and I’m back. 🙂 There’s a bunch of updates I want to do and some things I want to finish with my website, more on that later. There are many different opions surrounding the topic – should you attach posts Read More…

For the past couple of days I’ve been experiencing blank/white pages in my wp-admin panel when submitting content: posts, pages, changes to plugins, you name it. I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to fix it – all the usual fixes worked but only for a short amount of time. The following is a list of what I tried to fix this error and what eventually was the route cause! The first place I tried for help on this error was obviously the WordPress Codex and Support areas, I had some luck. The WordPress Codex had an article on Login Read More…

Keeping Busy

I’ve definitely been keeping busy lately with various offline (and some online) activities. Here’s what I’ve been up to when I haven’t been writing or working on my website: Catching up on my Sky+ shows Bones, Casualty, Teen Wolf, Holby City etc – I haven’t caught up with season 2 of Teen Wolf yet, it’s been in my Sky+ planner for about a year now! The others I’ve been a fan of for years and with Casualty and Holby City for as long as I can remember. Working Full-time, 8.30 – 5.00 with a bunch of overtime thrown in as Read More…
