Halloween tag

Happy Halloween! Tonight I’m donning some Ghostbusters pyjama bottoms, watching some Halloween themed films with my family (and likely some horror films too). I’m hoping we’ll see some trick or treaters as well. If you didn’t know by now Halloween is my favourite holiday, seconded by Christmas. When we were little my sister and I went trick or treating around our village with the other children there and a few chaperones. I think that’s where my love of Halloween and fancy dress began; my parents got very into it, carving pumpkins, decorating the house and playing some tricks on us. Read More…

Geeky Clean: Game of Foams crate review

I was going through my Facebook news feed back in April and came across a sponsored post for a page called Geeky Clean, an online store selling handmade soaps, candles and other bath and shower products. I especially love the Harry Potter sorting hat bath bombs!  The post that brought me to them, however, was offering Serenity, Doctor Who and Star Trek themed soaps! Every month Geeky Clean offer a Read More…

20 years of Buffy the Vampire Slayer

On March 10th 1997 the first season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer aired in the USA, that’s right – Buffy is 20 years old today! What to do with travel guides, pamphlets and brochures

If you’re like me you have dozens of travel guides, pamphlets and brochures cluttering up your house… Here’s some of mine… I’ve been storing them in a magazine rack with my small but growing collection of vinyls. I didn’t want to part with them as I do intend to visit all the places advertised in them at some point but I wanted them tidier and more easily accessible. My solution? I added them to my ‘Places to Visit‘ board on Pinterest and recycled the physical ones. Simple, yes, but very effective and I feel much more organised. I also debated Read More…

Loving Pinterest!

Firstly, how have I only recently started using Pinterest? Secondly, I may have become ever so slightly addicted to it! What is Pinterest For those that don’t know, there maybe some, as I sure didn’t know about it until recently – Or rather I’d never bothered to click on it or any links until recently – Pinterest is a website where you can compile all the great things you find online, e.g. craft ideas, fashion, home improvements – you name it. Previously, I was bookmarking or printing recipes, now I don’t have too, though I still am in part. There’s Read More…
