20 years of Buffy the Vampire Slayer

On March 10th 1997 the first season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer aired in the USA, that’s right – Buffy is 20 years old today! That makes me feel old… I’ve been watching Buffy since it first aired in the UK and have rewatched it countless times on VHS and DVD.  I’ve had some great experiences because of Buffy, conventions, themed parties, acting out scenes from Buffy and putting on shows of Once More With Feeling (the musical episode) as a kid etc. I’ve also made many great friends through our mutual love of Buffy that it wouldn’t seem right Read More…

What to do with travel guides, pamphlets and brochures

If you’re like me you have dozens of travel guides, pamphlets and brochures cluttering up your house… Here’s some of mine… I’ve been storing them in a magazine rack with my small but growing collection of vinyls. I didn’t want to part with them as I do intend to visit all the places advertised in them at some point but I wanted them tidier and more easily accessible. My solution? Wardrobe Revamp

Since organising my wardrobe recently and compiling a list of things to buy (hello wardrobe revamp) – mainly replacement items for things that were too big – I’ve been reading a lot online, mostly via Pinterest (can’t get enough of that website!) about minimalistic wardrobes (or ‘capsule’ wardrobes). The idea is that you’ll never again go to your wardrobe/closet and think “I have nothing to wear!”. It’s about Read More…

Loving Pinterest!

Firstly, how have I only recently started using Pinterest? Secondly, I may have become ever so slightly addicted to it! What is Pinterest For those that don’t know, there maybe some, as I sure didn’t know about it until recently – Or rather I’d never bothered to click on it or any links until recently – Pinterest is a website where you can compile all the great things you find online, e.g. craft ideas, fashion, home improvements – you name it. Previously, I was bookmarking or printing recipes, now I don’t have too, though I still am in part. There’s Read More…

Apartment Geeks

While browsing images and ‘re-searching’ my previous entry (Grand Designs – What would I do?) I stumbled upon a website called: Apartment Geeks. Apartment Geeks is a website full of tip and tricks for organising, designing etc your apartment – the focus seems to be on smaller apartments. The website covers designs, gadgets, food, DIY, fitness, plants, being eco-friendly and furniture. I don’t live in an apartment personally, but enjoyed looking around the website and liked the ideas they had. Here are a couple of my favourite entries/ideas from the website: A guide to organising your wardrobe I found this Read More…
