Autumn to do list

“Of autumn’s wine, now drink your fill; the frost’s on the pumpkin, and snow’s on the hill.” –The Old Farmer’s Almanac, 1993 It’s the first day of Autumn! Finally! I love this time of year, the leaves changing colour, the fashion – knitwear and scarves, warm drinks and making soup, Halloween and Bonfire Night, it’s definitely my favourite season. I’m currently curled up on the sofa with a fruit tea and watching Teen Wolf on Netflix (I’m on season 2). I’ve spoken about my love of Autumn before but this year I wanted to share what I want to do Read More…

‘Tis the season.

Where has the time gone? Halloween and Bonfire Night have both been and gone and Christmas is right around the corner! Picking up where I left off last time, we didn’t end up dressing up as characters from The Rocky Horror Picture Show for Halloween in the end. Time got away from us and the costume one of us was planning on ending up being too small. 🙁 So we looked at other options – I was a mummy, dad went as Uncle Fester from the Addams Family (complete with light bulb) and, for those of you familiar with The Read More…

Comic con, a book signing and Fright Night – Hello October!

A lot has happened since I last wrote, I went to my first Lego show at the Steam Museum in Swindon and saw a Lego robot wars fight. All the Lego models on display were custom designs, no kits in sight. I was amazed by the size of the show and the models themselves.    Another first for me was crewing at Gloucester Comic con, my first time crewing at any convention. It was a great experience. Tiring, yes but I have a lot of fond memories and got to see what things were like from the otherside… I would Read More…

Hello Autumn

Autumn has always been my favourite season; leaves changing colour, cooler weather but not bitterly cold (although I’m sure that’ll be here soon I’m sure), Autumn activities such as Halloween and Bonfire Night etc. These are a few of my favourite things about Autumn and things I’m up to in the next few weeks. Sunsets During early Autumn, before the clocks go forward and the days get shorter, we see beautiful sunsets tiding over from Summer. Leaves changing colour Let’s face it nature is prettiest in Autmn. Colours of rich red, vibrant gold and bold orange decorate the trees (and Read More…

Winter is Coming

Winter is Coming – It’s definitely getting colder lately! The clocks went back last weekend (27th October) in the UK, so the days are shorter and it’s getting darker a lot earlier. 🙁 The thing I love about this time of year though is how colourful it is! Leaves changing colour, dropping from trees and going ‘crunch’ under foot. 🙂 I also love Halloween and fireworks! What I’m not loving is how Christmas seemed to start back in September this year! Haha. I don’t think about the ‘C’ word until after Halloween is over. This Halloween was spent, as previous Read More…
