  • Nessie hunting on Loch Ness

It’s been a while since I last posted and even longer since my Scottish road trip back in October! I’ve been suffering with my mental health and took a break from blogging as well as social media. Ryan and I broke up in early December as well. After our tour of Fort William and Ben Nevis we headed further north to Loch Ness with hopes of finding the Loch Ness…

  • Scottish Highlands: Ben Nevis

After a busy few days in Edinburgh, Ryan and I continued our road trip and headed into the Scottish highlands. Our first stop was the Famous Grouse distillery which unfortunately wasn’t open for another hour when we arrived! 🙁 But we took some photos and made a note to go back again at some point. Ah, the benefit of having our hotel next to a supermarket. 😉 Edinburgh zoo was a short 10 minute drive from our hotel, on the outskirts of the city centre. Funnily, if we…

  • Edinburgh & The Castle on the Hill

After our trip to Alnwick, Ryan and I continued our road trip up to Scotland and our next destination – Edinburgh. We spent 1 and a half days in the city and another at Edinburgh Zoo (post on that to follow!). I got very excited when I saw the “border crossing” layby and insisted we pull over to take some photos. There’s also a layby the other side for those…
