Antipasti & Tapas date night

Inspired by the tapas selection we had at Toro Lounge in December, Ryan and I decided to have a antipasti and tapas date night.

We went to our local Lidl and bought various meats, rolls and baguettes, some hummus, an olive selection box, and the great oil server you can see in the photo.

I love the middle section of both Lidl and Aldi where they display home and ware and seasonal goods. You never know what you’ll find.

The oil server came with extra virgin olive oil, chilli infused oil and balsamic vinegar. The slate platter is also from Lidl and the Lazy Susan in the centre was a gift from my mum years ago. So were the dessert forks we used.

We had regular hummus, chilli hummus, bread rolls and baguettes, olives, sundried tomatoes, chillies, some cheese triangles and two types of chutney. I love tomato chutney!

It was a really good meal and my dad was very jealous when we shared the photos – he loves this kind of food – and asked if we would put on a similar spread for them soon. Of course I said yes. πŸ™‚

I’m thinking I need a pretty bread basket or something like that for next time. Any suggestions?

Looks like you had a total feast! I think you should do a bread basket. That would be really cute. And I know it’s antipasti but I feel like a cheese board should be in here somewhere! πŸ˜†

That’s such a great idea! And it looks amazing too. You’ve definitely inspired me to have a night like this. I love olives!

It looks delicious! And your (I’m guessing) living room is so tidy!

That middle section of Aldi is my favourite bit πŸ˜€
