Homemade Beef Burgers
It’s not quite BBQ season, in fact it was snowing this morning. Yes, snowing in April! But this afternoon was very warm, the sun was shining and it was dry the rest of the day.
I wish the weather would make up its mind! I only just put my warm jumpers away.
Excuse the blurry photo, I was in the back of the car at the time driving to town.
We went birthday present shopping, dad bought a load of dvds and blurays, some cheese knives and I came home with nothing! There was nothing I liked enough to buy clothes wise and couldn’t find any other things I liked or needed – not even a new mixing bowl as Lakeland had sold out of the one I wanted.
When we got home Ryan and I decided to have a quiet evening in together, made some homemade burgers as it wasn’t warm enough in the evening for a BBQ and watched Victor Frankenstein. It was a really good film and if you haven’t watched it, I’d recommend it.
To make the burgers you will need :
500g lean mince **
1tsp Ground Garlic
1tsp Tomato ketchup
1 tsp English Mustard
1so Chilli Powder
1sp Cumeric
1sp Cajun Spices
1 tbsp Green Pesto
1 tsp Marmite
Salt and pepper to season
If you want less spicy burgers then omit the chilli powder and cajun spices.
Method
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix together.
Place patties on a preheated grill or into a frying pan (with oil) for 4 – 6 minutes on both sides or until the burgers are cooked through. L
Optional serving suggestion: Fry bacon (or use bacon jam), add cheese slices and serve in a brioche roll.
** You can also use turkey mince.
