Happy Valentine’s day or ‘Galentines’ day or Happy Tuesday. Whether you’re celebrating today or not or if your single or in a relationship, I hope everyone has a good day.
Ryan and I don’t celebrate much, we’re having a quiet night in watching a film (likely Deep Water Horizon), Ryan’s cooking lasagne as we’ve not had it in ages and I’m providing dessert. I’ll probably have some heart shaped napkins for the table from my party ware stash. ๐ We said we’re not doing gifts but did say we’d do cards… which will be after I finish work.
Yes, Valentine’s day is overly commercial, so is Christmas, Fathers day, Easter etc. But I don’t think there’s any harm in couples celebrating it or singletons celebrating with their friends and family. Today is about love in whatever form that may be.
Some of the best valentine’s days I’ve had are with family and friends. Such as a family meal to the Bear in Cirencester and a girlie night in town. ๐
Will you be celebrating this Valentine’s Day?
Evening celebrations – Our date night in
Even though we said we weren’t doing gifts, I came home to a bubble bath, complete with lavender scented candles, an ‘Outta This World’ spaceship bath fizzer by Misguided (which made the bath glittery) and a ‘Twilight’ bath bomb by Lush (which made the bath purple). Which was a nice surprise. ๐
Dessert was Krispy Kreme doughnuts and cinema style snacks.
We decided to rent Deep Water Horizon on Sky Box Office. ๐ It was a really good evening.

Oh my goodness, you got spoiled ๐ I love that dinosaur card too. So cute that the t-rex has to have arm extensions because his arms are so tiny. ๐
I donโt usually celebrate Valentineโs Day either. Some years itโs nice to go all out. Sometimes itโs nice to just stay in and relax and watch a movie or something. In the end itโs all about the company you have, really. ๐

I love the card too!
We had a habit last year of sending each other memes about T-Rex and their small arms so this card was perfect.
I don’t think I’ve ever gone all out on Valentine’s day, often spend them at home with a home cooked meal.
