My Adventure Goals *

AD | At the beginning of the year I set myself ‘20 goals for 2020‘. Most of these were lifestyle goals relating to wellness, getting outdoors more, and of course, local travel. So when I heard about AliKats’ bucket list challenge*, I was more than happy to get involved and share some of my adventure goals with you.

Although this is a bucket list challenge it’s not just about ticking things off a list, but rather about experiencing new things, and creating some lifelong memories in the process. To be honest I don’t expect to conquer everything on it, but it’s a great way to motivate myself to try new things, and challenge myself a little more.

I really hope this list inspires you to try new things too.

My Adventure Bucket List… Outdoor goals I’d like to achieve.

1- Bungee Jump near the 02, London

Aaron and I actually have a tandem jump booked later on this year.

2- Hike up Mt. Ben Nevis

I attempted this before, but the weather made it unsafe to continue. So I’d like to give this another try.

3- Hike up Mt. Snowdon

My family and I took the train to the top of Mt. Snowdon when my sister and I were little. But I’d like to hike to the top this time.

4- Hike up Mt. Vesuvius

5- Drive or Ride in a Tank

6- Hike Hadrian’s Wall

7- Hot Air Balloon Ride

8- Helicopter Ride

9- Swim in a Lake

10- Swim with Penguins in Cape town

Such a great list packed full of mixed ideas. I’d love the idea of having a ride in a tank which I know they do at Bovington. I’d also love to see the northern lights.

You’ve got a lot of hiking in your bucket list, Kim, not something a lazybones like me would ever include! But I’d love to see the Northern Lights one day and we were very lucky to see some dolphins last summer in Lanzarote. Great list, very inspiring! x

This is a great list! If you’re ever planning a trip to Niagara Falls, send me a message. I’ve got a bunch of recommendations for you on the Canadian side if you’re interested – we go often.

What a great list! You have some fantastic ideas that I may steal for my own bucket list, if you don’t mind! 😉 And you’re brave to want to cage dive with sharks! Wooo! I don’t know if I could do that, but if you do, please do a post about it!!! I hope you can check a whole bunch of things off your list this year!

Great post! I’m clearly not as adventurous as you! I’d hike Hadrian’s Wall (I stayed right near it once but didn’t hike) and I’d love to climb Snowdon too (again, stayed near it once but didn’t hike it haha) xx

I’m exactly the same – I’ve been near both of them since but didn’t hike either of them. Same with a few of the ones on this list actually. 😅🤔

Always enjoy your travel writing so I selfishly hope you get to experience many of your 2020 goals. I always lament not doing the Sydney bridge walk, Tower Bridge is fun to cross though different kind of experience (and indoors). Make it to Cheddar though, caves are great to wander around though try and avoid the rainy season as they can uh…flood

When you say walk over the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge and Tower Bridge, do you actually mean the daredevil stunt of literally walking across the top, rather than just walk across the bridge? Bungee jumping is probably out for me but I’d love to do lots of the other ones you’ve listed, like Niagara Falls, Northern Lights, venice, archaeological dig (that would be amazing). I’ve always really wanted to go to Japan too. Not to do anything specific, just to go there. Hiking would be pretty cool around some of those areas you’ve listed too. Spring is just around the corner – go grab your hiking boots!

I mean literally walking across the top! There’s walks you can do over both of them – with harnesses and a trained instructor for the Sydney climb. See here: https://www.bridgeclimb.com/ and here: https://www.towerbridge.org.uk/ (which I’ve now linked to in my post 😊). I’ve always wanted to visit Japan too, if only for the Pokémon centres.
