Everyday beauty essentials

I’m not a beauty blogger by any means but I do spend a lot of my reading time on beauty blogs and I admire the work they put into their posts. One thing I have noticed however is a lot of beauty bloggers don’t talk about the everyday items. The beauty essentials that you use on a regular basis, you’re favourites you purchase over and over again.

Today I’m going to talk about my favourites, my everyday beauty essentials. 😊👝🛍

Shampoo and conditioner

My favourite shampoo and conditioner at the moment is Tigi Bed Head Colour Goddess as recommended to me by my hair dresser. She warned me that certain products can strip the colour from dyed hair fairly quickly! Colour Goddess helps keep my hair colour looking vibrant and it smells like toffee which is an added bonus!

In between hair dye trips I’ll use Dove Colour Care or Intensive repair. I suffer from dry, straw like hair on occasion and this is the best option I’ve found to nourish my hair.

Shower gel and body wash

Radox lavender and waterlilly showergel or Dove pomegranate and lemon verbena body wash are my go to. They both smell amazing and leave me with soft skin after each use.

I also use Boots gentle feminine wash for those delicate areas and the wipes.

Bubble bath

I love a Lush bath bomb or bubble bar as much as the next girl but in between trips to Lush, it’s Radox or Avon that I relax in the tub with.

My favourites are Radox lavender and waterlilly and Avon lavender. The lavender fragrance in both is very relaxing and sets me up perfectly for a good night’s sleep.

Deodorant

With sensitive skin especially under my arms, it took me a long time to find a suitable deodrant. The ones I use are Dove (original or pomegranate), or Avon soft musk.

So these products are the ones I use frequently and repurchase regularly. I don’t know what I’d do if the brand’s stopped making them! 😮

What are your everyday beauty products? The favourites you keep going back to? Let me know in the comments. 😊

You know, I never did think of shampoo and conditioner as beauty essentials! I love the new perspective this piece has given me on that.

Wonderful post! Dare I add to it and say a body mist/perfume?

I don’t have any favourite products other than my Victoria Secret’s body mists and my Black Opium perfume. Everything else is just whatever I can pick up!

Yes to perfume! Although I’ve never tried body mists. My go-to is Black XS by Paco Rabanne, it’s a lovely scent. I’ll have to pop into Victoria Secret and have a look – thanks for the recommendation and your comment lovely. xx

That’s so true! I wouldn’t call myself a beauty blogger but as someone who posts about beauty a little, I think these products don’t get spoken about that often because people are worried that content gets boring if you repeat yourself too often. My essentials are the Palmer’s coconut deep repair conditioner and my favourite shampoo by OGX just got discontinued so I have no idea what to buy next! A really random one, but the Colgate pro gum mouthwash 😂 x

Lush bath bombs are truly magical, there is nothing better! I have one sitting here at home that I’m looking forward to using soon (when things slow down enough to make that a possibility lol)

I love this idea Kim! I often look at beauty blogs too and most of the time don’t own any of the items they are blogging about! I’m glad there are some products here that I actually use too. Radox is so good for bubble baths, I’m using the muscle soak and stress relief ones at the moment. I’ve used the relaxing lavender one before and it defo makes me sleepy, it’s such a nice scent – this has reminded me to buy some more soon 🙂 Thanks for sharing your everyday beauty essentials, fab post <3 xx

The one thing I really miss about our new home is a bubble bath as we only have a shower, I cannot wait to get a bathtub fitted – great blog post lovely! 🌸💜

I do agree with the Dove Pomegranate deodorant, it’s really nice.

Shampoo wise, I’ve been using the Lush solid shampoo bars for a couple of years now, it really is superb – my favourite is the bright blue salt one, it’s perfect for my fine straight hair and doesn’t have any plastic waste.

I’ve never tried the Lush shampoo bars but I have been tempted. I have very sensitive dry skin so I’m always a bit nervous trying a new product. Thanks for your comment.

These days, most of my everyday beauty products are from Japan. This is largely because they’re the only products that have worked perfectly for me. I use Ichikami for my shampoo & conditioner and I LOVE it. I use Body Shop products for soaps and lotions, though. They were a gift but I love their products! Then, for skincare I’m using mostly Tatcha these days. And I have this annoying liquid deodorant because my dad bought the wrong one when I asked him to grab some from Target. It’s unfortunate, but liquid deodorant isn’t the worst thing I’ve used. No streak marks at least?

Thanks for your comment. I’ve never tried any beauty products outside of the UK market, except one very expensive French deodorant. We foolishly thought we could buy our toiletries over there and one can was € 6.50!
