Heart Shaped Pizza Recipe

Using my ‘no yeast pizza recipe’, Artur and I baked this heart shaped pizza for Valentine’s Day dinner this year.

The challenging parts was shaping the dough into a heart shape… Pretty good for a first try. 🙂

You will need
90 ml Warm Water
1 tsp Salt
Toppings Of Your Choice
Pizza Sauce (store bought or make your own)
Grated cheese
45 ml Olive Oil
225 g Self-Raising Flour

Method

Preheat the oven to 220ºC

To make the crust: Combine the salt, flour, oil, and water, mix well.

Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the dough.

Shape the dough into a heart shape with your hands and roll up the edges so it will keep it’s shape while cooking.

Cover the pizza with sauce, cheese and your choice of toppings. We used pepperoni and cut them into heart shapes with a knife, you could also use a heart shaped cookie cutter.

Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and beginning to brown, and the edges and bottom of the crust are golden brown.

Take the pizza out of the oven and allow to cool.

Sprinkle lightly with Pizza Seasoning or dried Italian herbs to serve – optional.
