Spicy Pepperoni Pasta Bake
Today I really fancied pepperoni for dinner but didn’t want a pizza, I always keep pasta in my cupboards and thought it would be great to combine the two into a spicy pepperoni pasta bake.
You will need
200g dry pasta – I used whole wheat fusili
500g Jar of tomato pasta sauce or make your own
Oil for frying
1 pinch seasoning (salt, pepper, pasta/pizza herbs)
2- 3 tsp Chilli powder – depending on how much you like spicy food
100g cheese, grated – I used mozzarella
Pepperoni, chopped into chunks or pepperoni slices cut in half
Method
Preheat the over to 180ºC
Cook
the pasta according to packet directions, usually 10 minutes in a saucepan of boiling water. Drain well and set aside.
Combine the tomato pasta sauce with the seasoning and chilli powder and stir well.
Add the pepperoni and pasta and and mix thoroughly.
Pour the mixture into a small oven proof dish.
Sprinkle with the grated cheese.
Put in the oven for approx 5 mins, until cheese has nicely melted and the edges start to brown.
Serve with garlic bread.
