Buffy the Vampire Slayer Collection: My Favourite Pieces
I’ve been collecting Buffy the Vampire Slayer memorabilia since the late 90s! So, it’s pretty safe to say my collection is on the large size. Buffy is one of my favourite TV shows and I’m always up for a re-watch! Especially, with someone whose never seen the show before. I’ve also been luckily enough to meet some of the cast members at conventions, which has seen my Buffy the Vampire Slayer collection grow, too!
My Buffy the Vampire Slayer collection is a great mix of items, including books, prop replicas, figures, Easter Eggs – yes, really, bags, stationery, and more. So, I found it hard to narrow down this list – in fact, it could have easily become an essay! 😅
Buffy the Vampire Slayer Collection: My Favourite Pieces
Books
I have a mixture of fiction and nonfiction books in my collection. My favourite fiction books are a retelling of season 6 and the Dark Willow arc. There’s three in the series and I’d highly recommend if you’re a fan of the character.
For nonfiction, I’m lucky to have a two of my books signed by Buffy (and Angel) cast members. The Sunnydale High Year Book and the ‘Once More with Feeling’ script book (both pictured below, alongside my autograph from Amber Benson and Alyson Hannigan!).
Episodes on VHS
I have the complete Buffy the Vampire Slayer boxset on DVD… and VHS. But one of rarer parts of my collection are the standalone VHS tapes for some of Buffy’s earlier episodes: Welcome to the Hellmouth / The Harvest, Surprise / Innocence, and Becoming Pt 1 and Pt 2.
Prop Replicas
Probably the most stunning part of my Buffy prop collection is a life-size replica of the Scythe she wields in season 7. But my favourite items are my replicas of Faith’s dagger, the Urn of Osiris (which Willow uses to resurrect Buffy), and the ‘Hush’ box. The knife was imported from the US and the other two items were custom made by UK sculptor, Willow’s Warlock.
Action Figures
There are so many Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel figures in my collection! Including signed figures, special variants, pre-production figures, multipacks, and more. But my favourites are definitely the 12″ figures designed by Sideshow.
If I had to pick one favourite from this collection, it would be Vampire Willow. She’s one of my favourites characters.
Statues and Busts
One of my favourite pieces in my Buffy collection is the Willow and Tara busts from the musical episode: Once More With Feeling. They’re two of my favourite characters and busts actually fit together, too. 🥰
