Do you ever look up dream meanings? It’s something I’ve always been curious about, ever since I read about dreams in an old ‘Mind, Body and Spirit’ magazine as a teenager. That’s not to say I necessarily believe in dream meanings, but certainly, find it interesting.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been having this recurring dream where my teeth all falling out. There doesn’t seem to be a reason for it, they’re not rotting, they’re white and look healthy but they keep falling out… There’s a lot of blood too!
It seems to be the ones at the front and I’m wondering whether these dreams are because my wisdom teeth are coming through. My teeth are healthy but I can’t help think it’s a bad omen and I’m going to lose them. 😐
Possible dream meanings
I decided to research my dreams meaning (thanks Kaylee for suggesting it as a blog post!) and found a few things relevant to my life at the moment that could explain the dreams – that aren’t due to my wisdom teeth. 😉
In Greek culture, when you dream about loose, rotten, or missing teeth, it indicates that a family member or close friend is very sick or even near death.
My nan is currently in hospital and has been so for the last month or so, she has been very poorly.
It has also been said that if you dream of your teeth falling out, then it symbolizes money. This is based on the old tooth fairy story. If you lose a tooth and leave it under the pillow, a tooth fairy would bring you money.
The last dream was near payday.
It can show the beginning of a new phase of life just as we lose our teeth when we pass from early childhood and head towards adulthood.
My three-year relationship ended in February so, in a way, I am starting a new chapter in my life.
As you can see all of these dream meanings could be the reason for the dreams I’ve been having recently but, in all honesty, it’s probably my wisdom teeth. 😉
Do you remember your dreams? Have you ever looked up what they could mean?
