Valentines Day 2014
I don’t celebrate Valentines Day as a rule – I think it’s just a silly commercial holiday slapped in between Christmas and Easter. Having said that, I do seem to end up doing something – whether I’m a relationship or a singleton.
This Valentines Day, I worked 08:30 – 16:00 and came home to this in the living room:-
Basically a dozen red roses displayed over the house in small vases. Even a Valentines Day sceptic like me, was happy to see this!
There were more roses in the kitchen and dinner was cooked: lasagne and heart shaped pasta.
When I got upstairs there were more surprises, roses and pressies in the bedroom and later a bubble bath by candle light.
Later we watched a film and ate desert, I’d baked Nutella cookies and bought some strawberry doughnuts with heart sprinkles.
All in all, a lovely day. 🙂
Saturday was spent window shopping and seeing Robocop.
How do you celebrate Valentines Day? Or is it surprised upon you (like in my case)? Do you not bother?
