This year, Ryan and I decided to bring mulled wine to the table and brought over the ingredients Christmas morning to brew the mulled wine in my parents slow cooker and, unlike the supermarket stuff, my dad loved it. The idea is that whenever we want to watch a Christmas film this season, we will randomly draw one from the stocking. So far it’s working out very well and we like the surprise. So far Read More…

‘Tis the season.

Where has the time gone? Halloween and Bonfire Night have both been and gone and Christmas is right around the corner! Picking up where I left off last time, we didn’t end up dressing up as characters from The Rocky Horror Picture Show for Halloween in the end. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🙂 For Christmas this year I’ve decided to bake Christmas cupcakes and a chocolate chip banana cake as we had some left over bananas to use up. I decorated with red / pink icing and Christmas themed sprinkles / iced decorations. Makes: 12 cupcakes Ingredients 125g butter 125g Self raising flour 125 Caster sugar 2 Eggs 1/2 tsp Vanilla flavouring 12 cupcake cases Chocolate sauce (for the filling) Read More…
