Christmas Day 2018
I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! This year we spent Christmas Day at my sister’s flat, her fiance cooked us a lovely turkey dinner and I ate too many roast potatoes! π Well, they were put on the plate directly in front of me lol.
Dinner was followed by a music themed board game, that I ended up winning(!) and The Jungle Book on TV. It was a good day except dad had caught the flu and got progressively worse over Boxing Day. π
Boxing Day itself was spent at my parents where we had left overs served with jacket potatoes and crusty rolls. Followed by a heated game of Monopoly lol, is it even Christmas without a family board game disagreement? π
I got some wonderful Christmas presents this year, as I do every year, that I’d like to share with you. I know these posts are hit and miss with readers, but I personally enjoy reading them and they often give me ideas for my own wishlist(s).
From my Secret Santa’s.
The first presents I unwrapped were Secret Santa gifts the week before Christmas. A shoe box sized gift from work which contained bubble bath, Haribo Starmix, a Star Wars notebook and a Star Wars light switch sticker set.
My other Secret Santa gift was from one of my sister’s bridal party who had kindly got me some Avengers themed bath fizzers.
Before we headed to my sister’s house, my parents and I exchanged gifts and I opened mine from my line manager.
Bath and Beauty Products.
There was a bit of a theme this year as nearly everyone got me a bath or beauty product. My parents got me some lovely gifts from Lush and The Body Shop while my line manager got me some gifts from a local spa.
I think they’re all trying to tell me I smell! π
… From my parents.
Along with the bath and beauty products my parents got me a couple of POP Vinyls figures, a pair of jeans and a pack of penguin socks between them – it’s not Christmas without me getting something penguin related. π Along with a couple of gifts from them each, my mum got me a Bluetooth shower speaker and my dad got me an R2D2 desk vacuum cleaner.
… From my sister and her fiance.
Last but not least, my sister and her fiance gave me some comic book hero themed cookie cutters, a butterfly print cross body bag and a Buffy the Vampire Slayer colouring book.
I’m so thankful for all the gifts I received this year. π
What did you get for Christmas? If you’ve done a blog post like this about what you got for Christmas then leave me your links as I love reading them. π

Thanks Ruth! π Shamefully I haven’t used any of them yet, I’ve been using up what I already have.

Hi Kim π Wow your Christmas sounds really fab, and I loved reading your themed blog post. The first photo of your Christmas dinner is making me so hungry! I watched The Jungle Book too, Iβd not previously seen it and thought it was a really great film. I smiled at the comment about board game disagreements, we played Articulate on New Yearβs Day, there were a few disagreements there but the game made everyone laugh. You were so lucky with all the bath stuff you received, particularly the Lush bits. I canβt wait to see if you use your cookie cutters, I got some flower ones from my brother. I will try and catch up with your blog soon. Happy New Year!! π xx

Happy Belated New Year Helen. Thanks so much for your comment. Christmas seems so long ago now, doesn’t it? We always have little disagreements playing board games and we’re certain my sister cheats at Monopoly. π xxx
