Coping with Money Worries after the Christmas Period

Anyone else over indulge this Christmas? 😐 Show of hands… βœ‹ Yep, me too. Whether it’s food, gifts, social events, or something else, I think we can all agree that Christmas can be a very expensive time of year. And that it’s all too easy to overspend. Like many people I set myself a budget on Christmas spending but more often than not go over it. I get caught up in impulse buying and picking up little stocking fillers for my family and friends. And I’m not the only one, they do it too! We do this because we love […]

My Dream Christmas

Last year Aaron asked me what my dream Christmas would be. Specifically where would I spend it? What would I do? And more importantly, who would I spend it with? To be honest, my ‘dream Christmas’, isn’t something I’ve ever thought much about before. However, I did give it a lot of thought when he first asked me, and more so now, as we’re entering the Christmas period again. I ultimately decided that my dream Christmas would be to spend the holidays in a log cabin. Actually if I’m honest, my initial response was New York City. But the more […]

A Christmas Weekend in Birmingham *

AD, Gifted | This past weekend Aaron and I popped to Birmingham for an early birthday treat. Including major cities like London, Birmingham and Cardiff. One of […]

Party planning for any occassion *

AD | At my 9-5 job I’m part of an associate engagement team, and one of our main responsibilities is planning social events for our staff. But to be honest, that’s not where my love of party planning first began. Credit has to go to my dad here for all the Halloween party planning we did when I was little. Along with many themed movie nights (like Star Wars day). With a decades worth of party planning, it’s pretty safe to say I’ve had some good experience, from company barbecues to christmas parties *. Christmas Day 2018

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. This year we spent Christmas Day at my sister’s flat, her fiance cooked us a lovely turkey dinner and I ate too many roast potatoes! πŸ˜… Well, they were put on the plate directly in front of me lol. Dinner was followed by a music themed board game, that I ended up winning(!) and The Jungle Book on TV. It was a good day except dad had caught the flu and got progressively worse over Boxing Day. πŸ™ Boxing Day itself was spent at my parents where we had left overs served with […]
