Upping my water intake with Weight Watchers daily motivation water bottle
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know that I’ve been a member of Weight Watchers since January 2012 and currently volunteer at meetings, helping the coach set up the room, handling cash and card sales etc.
One of the newest products available are these daily water bottles or motivation bottles. They come in blue and a dark pink – I have the blue one myself and have just been using it just under a week after getting it last Sunday.
I wanted a new bottle for work. I had been re-using plastic water bottles but found I wasn’t refilling them or never even filled them up at the beginning of my working day in the first place. I spoke with Ryan about it and we worked out that I was only drinking a litre and a half of fluid a day (at work and at home) which is far below the recommended daily amount.
It is proven that being deyhdrated or not drinking enough can cause your body to retain fluid and can affect weight loss. I’ve decided to make an effort to up my fluid intake throughout my working day and my new water bottle will help do that.
What I like about these bottles are the printed markings and times on the side 9am to 1pm then 2pm to 6pm, giving you hourly targets and a recommendation of how much water you should be drinking. It’s a great way to track how much you’re drinking and to keep you hydrated.
The bottles come with an easy drinking spout and a built in straw, I tipped the bottle upside and no leakage! Which has been an issue with other bottles I’ve had in the past.
On day 1 of using the bottle I drank 2,500ml of fluid (at work alone) which is a little over 4 pints! So it’s definitely helping. The only my draw back is as my body starts to let go off the water it’s been retraining, I’m peeing a lot more! Haha, … too much info?
How do you track your fluid intake?

It’s incredible how something as simple as getting a good quality water bottle and carrying it with you throughout the day can have a significant impact on your water intake, isn’t it?

Wow, that bottle is such a cool idea. I never know how much I should be drinking, and when I’m at home I sometimes forget to have a drink if I’m busy. I’d love one of these, but I still think I’d have to set myself an alarm to remind myself to drink something.
Good luck with Weight Watchers. Hope it goes well for you!

I drink a lot of tea, but maybe not enough water to combat that. I am used to peeing all the time. ๐ I almost feel weird getting up at work and wonder if anyone notices how much I go to the toilet. ๐ฆ
I think this bottle design is great, it is very encouraging and itโs honestly such a simple design when you think about it. It just required a bit of extra painting on the bottle. I also have the issue with bottles leaking all the time and even bottles that start out great will eventually loosen up and leak. Iโm glad this bottle is helping you drink more water! ๐
