Spending 48 hours in London

After a busy few days in Plymouth, and only one day actually spent at home(!), Aaron and I decided to hop on the National Express coach to spend a couple of days in London. There’s so much to see and do in the city, which is just one of the reasons why it’s one of my favourites to visit in the UK. I never fail to find something new every time I visit. We had planned to do a tandem bunjee jump alongside the 02 arena on this trip. But unfortunately they were sold out! 🙁 Instead we booked an […]

A Long Weekend Road Trip to Plymouth (UK)

It’s been a busy couple of weeks! First Aaron and I had a long weekend in Plymouth followed by an overnight stay in London. Then I celebrated my birthday with a couple of days out, and finally my sister’s hen weekend in Disneyland Paris. Needless to say my blog has taken a bit of a back seat! 😅 To get me back into the swing of things I thought I’d write a bit about all the trips I’ve been on recently. Starting with our road trip to Plymouth at the end of April – which seems so long ago now! […]

Disneyland Paris Bucket List

Next week(!) I’ll be hopping on the Eurostar to Disneyland Paris for my sister’s hen weekend! It’s come around so quickly since we booked it back in November and I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve been to Disneyland a few times before (3 to be exact) but never travelled on the Eurostar; I’ve driven to Disneyland (via the Channel Tunnel) and flown to Paris and caught the Metro, but never used the Eurostar. This will also be my first time staying at one of the park hotels – I’m not sure which one, my sister’s keeping that part a […]

Gothenburg at Easter: A trip down memory lane

I’ve been to Gothenburg (Sweden) a couple of times as a teenager, but haven’t had the opportunity to go since then, which is a shame. It’s such a beautiful coastal city full of stunning architecture and picturesque gardens. Although my main reason for going at the time wasn’t the sights. It was to attend a gaming convention known as ‘Goth-Con‘, with two of my friends. Goth-Con is an annual event held over Easter break at the stunning Hvitfeldtska Gymnasiet building (a high school in Gothenburg). I entered a couple of trading card tournaments while I was there, one for UFS […]

The Disneyland Paris Tag

If you didn’t know I’ll be travelling to Disneyland Paris next month for my sister’s hen weekend! 😁 Since it’s getting close now I’ve been reading many blog posts about Disney and Disneyland Paris recently – my browser history and Pinterest search history is literally full of Disney content at the moment. 😅 One post I stumbled upon was the Disneyland Paris tag over on Jenny’s blog, which I thought would be perfect to answer given there’s only a month to go until my trip. The Disneyland Paris Tag! 1. What year did you first visit DLP and how old […]

Weekend Away Essentials

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll know I love short breaks away – especially staycations. There are so many great places to explore in the UK from historical sites, vast lake lands, big cities and coast land, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. [Missed a post in my staycation series? Catch up here.] To be honest I rarely go on holiday overseas and often opt for a few weekends (or long weekends) away in the UK instead. In fact I’m spending a long weekend in Plymouth at the end of April. 🙂 I think my fondness […]
