Gift Ideas for Gamers

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know that I love gaming. Solo games, party games, or even a date night game session with my partner. So it should come as no surprise that there are a few gaming gifts on my Christmas wish list this year.

Luckily there are so many gift ideas for gamers out there, especially from independent sellers, so it’s even easier to find something your gamer will love. Whether they enjoy baking, need some home decor ideas or they’re a stationery addict, this list is full of gift ideas that I’m sure any gamers in your life will enjoy. There might even be something here to add to your own ‘letter to Santa’. 😉

Gift ideas for gamers

Video Games and Accessories

Proably the most obvious gift for the gamer in your life would be a video game (or a new console to play it on!). But there are also some great accessories out there that any gamer would love. You could even make up a hamper of different items (with snacks of course) for them to enjoy.

Controller and headset stand

There’s nothing worse than tripping over game controllers or headsets – not only do you risk hurting yourself but also breaking the equipment too. Which is wearing gaming stands come in handy; this particular one is handmade from wood, and can hold two controllers, a headset, and spare batteries too. They can also be personalised.

Retro Nintendo 64 Game display Stand
If you have a retro gamer in your life you’ll know how difficult it can be to find boxed retro games! And it can also be hard to find storage for them. Which is why I love these 3D printed storage stands! They’re ideal for showcasing your collection and keeps them neat and tidy too.

Cable Tidy

How many times have you gone to plug in an electornic device and had to follow the cable to find the right one? Well these cable tidy can certainly help with that. Simply pop them over the TV or power cable and never again be confused with a bunch of tangled cables.

Self Care

For some, gaming can be quite stressful; especially if you’re experiencing lag, or there’s a difficult part of the game that you just can’t beat! Add to that muscle strain in your hands, wrists and thumbs, and you’ll sure to be left feeling tired and achey. So what better way to finish a gaming session than with some much self care.

Controller Bath Bombs

One of my favourite ways to relax and unwind is with a soothing bubble bath. What I love about these ones, apart from the striking rainbow colours, is they can be personalised and come in a range of gift sets. There’s even a Pac-Man option too which would be perfect for retro gamers.

Pokémon: Lavender Town inspired Scented Candle

Lavender Town was one of my favourite parts of the original Pokémon games. I simply love ghost Pokémon, so when I saw this Lavender Town, lavender scented, candle I thought it would be perfect for fellow ghost Pokémon lovers.

Dungeons & Dragons journal

Journaling has been shown to benefit mental health, whether that’s writing down your worries, creating a gratitude list, or keeping track of your habits. So this would be a great self care item for anyone to enjoy. Even if they’re not a fan of journaling there are so many uses for a notebook. They could use it for planning, to keep track of their growing games collection, or decorate with stickers.

Paint your own game controller

One of my favourite forms of self care is to do something creative, so I love these paint your own ceramics. The one I’ve featured is a game controller but there so many other great designs from dinosaurs to bumble bees.

Kawaii Pokemon Self Care and Mental Health Positivity Prints

Not only are these Pokémon prints very cute but each one also has a lovely, positive, mental health quote printed on them. The prints themselves are on white photo paper and would be perfect for any Pokémon fan.

Something to wear

If you work in a professional environment, or have to wear a uniform at work, it can be very difficult to show off your love of gaming. Which is why I like to use easily hidden accessories instead.

Game Controller Necklace

Cute, stylish and can be personalised, what’s not to love?

Resident Evil Hair Clips

This pair of hair clips successfully combines to of my favourite things, gaming and horror! Each one is hand painted and assembled by the artist which means each set is unique.

Gamer Girl Pin Badge

I just love the cute look of this pink retro Gameboy console. It would look great pinned to clothing, bags, or even decorating a pin board at home.

Novelty Gaming Socks

How many of you know gamers that put their feet up on the coffee table? These quirky socks serve as a funny reminder for you not to disturb them, haha. 😅

Gift ideas for Stationery Lovers

If the gamer in your life also loves stationery, then you’re in luck because there are so many gaming related stationery items out there, from stickers to gift wrap!
“Would You Like To Save Your Progress?” – Gaming Bookmark

The answer to this surely has to be ‘yes’, right? I’m not sure I know any gamers who don’t save their progress! … What I love about this quote is how fitting it is for reading too; it saves your place in the book.

Game Controller Planner Paper Clip

How cute is this little guy!? He could be used as a bookmark, to decorate notebooks or journals, or yes, what he’s designed for, holding paper together. 😉

Retro Gaming Stickers

These stickers are perfect for retro gamers and would look great decorating notebooks, bullet journals, game consoles, and even laptops.

Pokémon gift tags

I think these are adorable and have snapped up a set to go on Christmas gifts this year. They’re ideal for decorating your gifts with but would also make a great stocking filler too.

Gift ideas for the home

A small item celebrating their favourite gaming fandom can be a great way to decorate their home. And there are so many great options to consider here, from coasters to planters.

D20 Cookie Cutters

If your gamer also likes baking, then these would be perfect for them. If not, you could always make up a batch of cookies to surprise them.

Chocolate blocks tower

A table top game you can eat? What’s not to love.

Personalised Gamers Mug

I could see this mug sitting on an office desk at work; it’s quirky, funny and can also be personalised with their name.

Bulbasaur (Pokémon) Planter

I love this little guy! He would be perfect for green fingered Pokémon lovers.

Witcher 3 Game Art

These designs are beautiful and I love that it’s not too obvious that they’re gaming related either.

Board Game key rack

If you’re anything like my partner you’ll put your keys down and forget about them! This key rack gives you a safe place to keep them and the design is eye-catching too. Perfect for table top game lovers.

PlayStation drinks coaster

I love wooden coasters and these are great for the gamer in your life.

These are great ideas! Both me & my bf are gamers, but I have no idea what to get him for Christmas, but I think he would love the D&D journal. Also, my daughter would love all the Pokemon gifts!
