Marmite Pasta Recipe

I love Marmite. So when my friend showed me this Marmite Pasta recipe, I knew I had to give it a try. It’s perfect for a quick, easy and cheap lunch, and tastes delicious! If you love Marmite that is. 😉

imagePersonally, I’ve never thought to use Marmite in a recipe before and usually have it on toast or in sandwiches. So this made a nice change. 🙂 My friend also told me about a Marmite recipe book! Which I may have to have a little look for, the next time I venture into town. But for now, I’d like to share how I made my own Marmite pasta.

You will need
100g Pasta (Spaghetti or fusilli work well for this recipe)
Approx 1 tbsp Marmite – depending on how much of a ‘kick’ you’d like
Approx 1 tbsp Butter or Margarine (I use dairy free Flora or Vitalite)
45g grated cheese (I use Tesco free from mozzarella)

Method

Cook the pasta according to packet directions, usually 10 minutes in a saucepan of boiling water. Drain well and set aside.

Mix together the Marmite, butter and cheese on a low heat until combined.

Add the pasta and mix thoroughly, ensuring all pieces of the pasta are covered.

Serve and enjoy!

Hahaha, I will openly admit that I have no idea what marmite is! Is it sweet or savoury?

Savoury! I don’t think they have it in Canada or the USA.
