Marmite Pasta

A friend recommended this Marmite Pasta recipe to me as I love Marmite, it’s perfect for a quick, easy and cheap lunch (that is only if you don’t hate marmite! 😉 ).

Personally, I’ve never thought to use Marmite in a recipe before and usually have it on toast or in sandwiches. My friend also told me about a Marmite recipe book! I may have to have a look the next time I venture into town.

Speaking of town, my birthday is next month and everyone is asking me what I want for my birthday and there’s bound to be a few shopping trips coming up. I have no idea what I want!

To make the Marmite Pasta…

You will need
100g Pasta (Spaghetti or fusili work well for this recipe)
Approx 1 tbsp Marmite – depending on how much of a ‘kick’ you’d like
Approx 1 tbsp Butter or Margarine
45g grated cheese

Cook the pasta according to packet directions, usually 10 minutes in a saucepan of boiling water. Drain well and set aside.

Mix together the Marmite, butter and cheese on a low heat until combined.

Add the pasta and mix thoroughly, ensuring all pieces of the pasta are covered.

Serve and enjoy!

Hahaha, I will openly admit that I have no idea what marmite is! Is it sweet or savoury?
