Schwartz BBQ Stuffed Chicken *

AD, GIFTED| How many times have you spent time on a dish only to over (or under) season it? Leaving you with a unfufilling or bland dish? Me too. Which is why I often reach for ready mixed spices, like Schwartz BBQ seasoning*. I just love how a little seasoning can turn a bland dish into something delicious, and packed full of flavour. Even if you’re not a natural in the kitchen, or struggle to make a meal from scratch (like I do sometimes). They’re a great way to add a little something extra to your meals. And, with minimal […]

Chicken and bacon pasta bake

We haven’t been eating a lot of pasta lately, which is sad as it’s one of my favourite things to cook and eat. Ryan has been eating healthier lately and pasta, even wholewheat pasta which we buy, is too high in carbohydrates for his current healthy eating regime. In spite of this he decided to treat himself and I decided to try a different pasta bake to my usual mince meat or lasagne or sausage or tuna etc and made one with chicken and bacon. You will need 200g pasta Jar of tomato and basil sauce or make your own […]

Valentine’s Day 2016

If you’ve been following my blog for a while you’ll know I don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day, I’ll give presents and maybe do some heart shaped themed baking (I love baking) but haven’t celebrated much more than that. I cooked some chicken pesto pasta with heart shaped tricolour pasta and a little chilli powder to give it a kick. It was very good! The chilli powder was […]

Chicken tikka masala with rice and cheesy naan bread

Last month I tried my first curry! Normally, I pass on spicy food but it was curry night at our local and I took dad out for a meal. I had chicken tikka masala, I liked it and it inspired me to try cooking a curry at home. I made a chicken tikka masala with rice and cheesy naan bread, it wasn’t as spicy as the one dad and I had at the pub but it was really good. The curry dish was part of a curry spices kit from Boots. You will need 400g boneless, skinless chicken breast – […]

I love Mexican style food. Ever since my first trip to Chiquitos restaurant in Swindon and one of my favourites are cheesy baked enchiladas, served with some Uncle Ben’s tomato and basil rice.   This quick and easy recipe will serve 4, but why not take the left overs to work with you?
