I’ve just had the most amazing weekend at London Film and Comic Con with my family and my sister’s friend. Honestly I think it was their best one yet but that could be because I checked something off my bucket list! After 19 years or so I finally got to meet one of my idols, Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Alyson Hannigan (Willow). Tips for your first comic con

My first convention was a little Doctor Who event in 2008 called Dalek Invasion which was held at Yeovilton Fleet Air Museum. I met the 6th Doctor, Colin Baker, spent too much money (!) and was in awe of the fabulous costumes and prop displays I saw. Since then I’ve been to loads of conventions (normally 6 a year) and have picked up some useful tips, whether it’s your first comic con or your a seasoned convention-goer. MCM Comic Con Birmingham March 2017

This weekend was MCM Birmingham which is held in the National Exhibition Centre (NEC). We’ve been going to this convention since 2009 when it was the Memorabilia show! It was my 2nd ever convention back then and now the start of the convention year for me. We drove up to Birmingham early Saturday morning (about 6am) and arrived at the NEC just after 8am. Geeky Birthday Weekend at Chevron 7.6 – UK Stargate Convention

Hey there! Things have been busy since my last post. I celebrated my birthday weekend at the Chevron 7.6 UK Stargate convention and we finally got a new computer after our last one suffered a fatal computer failure. I also purchased a new laptop so we have a back-up if any goes wrong in the future. Fingers crossed it doesn’t!🤞🤞 But I’m happy to have a back-up, just in case.
