Staycation & birthday celebrations 2017

Ryan and I booked the first week of May off work with the original intention of a road trip through Ireland, but due to the unknown state of our housing situation towards the end of March (you can read more about that in my moving back in with your parents as an adult post) we decided to save the money just in case we needed it for a rental or renewal deposit or for storage rental. We decided to keep the week booked off and planned a staycation instead with plans to travel Ireland next year. Day 1 – Cardiff City Read More…

Spring London Film and Comic Con – Nick Frost

This weekend was Spring London Film and Comic Con and I headed down on the Saturday to meet Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Attack the Block, Hot Fuzz etc) and catch up with some friends. The day started early with us catching the coach to London at around 5am so we could get in the queue early and have a better chance at meeting Nick Frost, it’s never guaranteed but we’ve never missed out on meeting someone we really wanted to yet (*touch wood*). Once we got to London it was a short tube ride from Victoria to West Read More…

May the 4th be with you & Darth Vader Bread

Happy Star Wars day and May the 4th be with you! It’s that time of year again, where my Facebook and Pinterest feeds are full with well wishes and Star Wars themed puns. Last year, my family and I had a Star Wars themed party and watched all 6 films back to back… This year is slightly different; we still have Star Wars themed food but went for another film franchise this year: Batman (so 7 films to try and get through 😉 ). Ryan made Darth Vader home made bread for today’s ‘feast’ – looks great and smells yummy, Read More…

Happy Star Wars day!

May the fourth be with you. Today is international Star Wars day, not something I’ve celebrated greatly in the past. Besides wishing my Star Wars fan friends/family a Happy Star Wars day. This year, my dad decided we should watch all 6 films back to back! Why not! Never attempted watching them all in one go before and Artur has never seen any of the films! So, he needs educating. 😉 I decided to be really nerdy and have a Star Wars themed buffet for the occasion – Also my attire was slightly Star Wars themed! Here’s a quick run Read More…

Attention Geeky Girls!

Today I stumbled upon this article about a little girl in first grade named Katie being bullied by her classmates for carrying a Star Wars water bottle to school. This saddens me, Star Wars is for everyone! Any age, gender, whatever. I’m a young adult female and I love Star Wars! Growing up I was into most things that many would say are “for boys” – they’re not. If you like it be proud! Katie’s mum has asked for fellow females who love Star Wars to leave a comment on the article showing Katie she’s not alone, that lots of Read More…
