The Movies Tag

It’s no secret that I love movies. I have an extensive DVD collection (especially of horror movies), enjoy finding new movies on Netflix, and love to watch new releases at the cinema. So when I saw Stars and Sprinkles had posted ‘the movies tag’, I knew I had to share my answers.

I love a good blogger tag; they’re a great way to get to know the person behind the blog and see what you have in common. So I’d love to see some of your answers in the comments. 😊

Without further ado…

The Movies Tag

Prefer to Watch Movies At Home or In Theatres?

Although I love the cinema experience and watching movies on the big screen. I do prefer watching them at home. It’s more comfortable, you can take loo breaks without too much of an issue, there’s a pause button(!), and you can choose your own snacks.

First Movie You Saw In Theatres?

Our parents took my sister and I to see The Lion King when it was first released in 1994. Seeing that movie on the big screen was an unforgettable experience, we were so happy. It remains one of my favourite Disney movies to this day.

Favourite Movie Genre?

I think my love of horror movies is pretty well know. Seconded by sci-fi.

Least Favourite Movie Genre?

Probably romantic movies. I love a good rom-com but anything too romantic or cheesy doesn’t interest me.

Favourite Animated Movie?

Ooh, hard to pick just one. Probably, Happy Feet, because, penguins are my favuorite animal, but as a child it was ‘Rover Dangerfield’ or ‘Rupert and the Frog Song’.

Worst Movie You Have Seen in Theatres?

Another hard one! I remember being very disappointed with The Lion King remake when I saw it. But I wouldn’t say it was the “worst” movie I’ve seen at the theatres.

Most Recent Movie You’ve Watched?

We’re currently re-watching Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s “Cornetto” trilogy, and have just finished Hot Fuzz. They’re some of my favourites movies. And I was lucky enough to meet Nick Frost at Spring comic con in 2016, where he signed my ‘Ed’ figure from Shaun of the Dead.

Your Guilty Pleasure Movie?

Probably Coyote Ugly, The Princess Diaries, or Practical Magic. I love a good ‘chick flick’.

The Movie You Have Watched The Most?

More thank likely one of my favourite Christmas movies, as we tend to watch the same ones every year. Doesn’t everyone? Notable mentions would be Home Alone 1 and 2, Gremlins and The Muppets Christmas Carol.

Favorite Movie

Either Gremlins (either of them) or Star Wars (any of them).

I’m the same – favourite genre is horror and least favourite is romance! I hate anything too sappy!

I love a good tag! The lion king was my first in the cinema too, it was such a popular film I remember having to queue outside the cinema to see it! xo

A great list of questions, a fun tag to do. Though…no shelfie? Curious of the collection 🤔
