Movie Night Essentials *

AD, GIFTED | I don’t know about you, but I love watching movies. Whether that’s catching the latest cinema release, binging the horror movie selection on Netflix or watching one of my old favourites on TV. It’s a great way to spend a night in and one of my favoruite rainy day activities too. But if there’s one thing one I prefer to the cinema its the comfort that comes with a home movie night. You can go for a bathroom break without too much disruption to anyone else, you can pick your own snacks, wear whatever you like, and […]

The Movies Tag

It’s no secret that I love movies. I have an extensive DVD collection (especially of horror movies), enjoy finding new movies on Netflix, and love to watch new releases at the cinema. So when I saw Stars and Sprinkles had posted ‘the movies tag’, I knew I had to share my answers. I love a good blogger tag; they’re a great way to get to know the person behind the blog and see what you have in common. Favourite Halloween Movies

It’s that time of year again! Yes, October is finally here, which in our house means lighting candles, carving pumpkins, and watching as many Halloween movies as possible. One day closer to the weekend. 😊 Personally it’s never been a holiday I’ve put much time into, but when Aaron suggested we have a movie night in watching horror movies, I couldn’t say no. I’ll find any excuse to watch a horror movie to be honest, haha. So without further ado, here’s my list of unconventional movies to watch this Valentine’s Day. My Bloody Valentine (1981) A classic slasher movie with a Valentine’s Day theme. My Bloody Valentine tells the story of Harry Warden, a miner who […]

Horror Movie Tag

I love a good horror movie! It’s my favourite movie genre and has been since I saw Gremlins in the early 90s; not that I found it that horrific. Gizmo is cute and the other Gremlins had me laughing out loud. Please tell me I’m not the only one? Since then my love of horror has grown and I have a growing collection of DVDs and some Blu Rays. The gem of my collection is my Hellraiser trilogy box set signed by Pinhead actor Doug Bradley. I met him at Collectormaina London along with Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger) in 2011. […]

How we spent our Staycation

We had a Staycation last week, the weather was pretty good. Cloudy and not too warm on some of the days but the rain held off! 🙂 In my last post I wrote a list of things we planned to do with our week off, here’s what we decided on. Monday was mostly spent at home and at the gym. Ryan has a weekly training session on a Monday and I have an evening class so we planned around these and had pepperoni pizza for dinner. Ryan’s mum was admitted to hospital Monday morning after breaking her hip and leg; […]
