10 Bookish Questions Tag
I was kindly tagged to answer the 10 Bookish Questions tag – and as reading is one of my favourite passtimes, I couldn’t say know. I’ve also always enjoyed answering tags so this one is pretty perfect for me. So, without further ado…
The 10 Bookish Questions Tag
1. How many books do you currently own?
Far too many to count! I have two bookcases full of books and more besides in under-bed storage bins. I’ll have to do an inventory and declutter some of them soon.
2. How many books are you currently reading?
Three! The Skin Collector, Doctor Sleep by Stephen King, and the second book in the Echo series.
3. Choose a couple of books you read but didn’t enjoy?
I disliked the second Harry Potter book, The Chamber of Secrets.
4. A cover buy?
I can’t think of any books I’ve specifically bought because I liked the cover, to be honest. Most of the books I have are either sequels to books I own or recommendations from friends / family.
5. A book you haven’t read in years?
So many! But the Harry Potter series are the first ones that come to mind. I don’t think I’ve reread them since the Deathly Hallows book was released.
6. A book you will always recommend?
I will always recommend The Hobbit and Lord of Rings books. As well as The BFG, which is one of my favourite children’s books.
7. All time favourite book series?
Probably Lord of the Rings or The Hunger Games.
8. Where do you read?
I love to read on our sofa with a cosy blanket and pillows. Add a hot chocolate into the mix, and I’d quite happily spend all day reading. I also used to read in my bed, but that always ended up with me reading nonstop until I’d finished the book! 😅
9. What are the last two books you gave a 5 star rating?
I’m not sure off the top of my head – I don’t use Goodreads or anything to track my reading. Maybe I should? One of my favourite book series is The Lord of the Rings, so I’ll say those. 😊
10. What’s your favorite way to read a book: physical books, e-books, or audiobooks?
I love physical books! There’s just something about being able to hold the book in my hands, and feel the weight of it, that I really enjoy. Also, the smell. I love the smell of old and new books.
