The Hallotober Tag

It’s no secret that I love Halloween; in fact, it’s my favourite holiday, seconded only by Christmas. So when I heard that Jordanne had created the Hallotober Tag this year, I crossed my fingers hoping I’d be nominated. What I didn’t expect, however, was to be nominated, not once, not twice, but four(!) times, by some wonderfully talented bloggers. So thank you to Claire of Our Favourite Jar, Katie of Life With Ktkinnes, Emily of That Weird Girl Life and Anne of Rooting Branches, for nominating me. 😊 Make sure you read their answers and check out their amazing blogs. Ways to Celebrate Halloween at Home

This year Halloween has the potential to be amazing; it falls on a Saturday (which means a whole day of spooky fun). There’s a full moon that evening, in fact, the second one this month (called a blue moon). And, for those of who like astrology, the moon falls in Taurus this month too (which happens to be my starsign!)… So it goes without saying that I’m a little bit excited to be celebrating Halloween at home this year. I’m just hoping the sky is clear enough to see it! 🌚 Moonlit walks aside, I’m also planning to listen to […]

Have you ever? Fandom Edition

Being a geek I have a fair share of favourite fandoms, the main ones being Buffy the vampire slayer and Star Wars, but there are others too (like Doctor Who and True Blood). Because, to me, my love of fandoms has given me so many wonderful experiences, from meeting my idols at comic conventions, to making life long friendships. So, let’s get started… ‘Have You Ever?’ Tag – Fandom Edition Have you ever made fan art? Yes, I used […]

Make sure to check out her blog if you love all things geeky and check out her answers. 🧙‍♀️ The Back to Hogwarts Tag The Questions Have to go shopping in Diagon Alley! What store do you go […]

Sunshine Blogger Award #4 and #5: The Pentalogy

I’m very grateful to have been nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award for a forth, and, fifth time. Hence the sub-tile ‘The Pentalogy’, which is used to describe a set of five works (usually writing or literature) that are connected, which seemed fitting for this post. 😊 My fourth nomination was from Kari of Kari Blogs Online and my fifth nomination was from Dear College Introvert. Thank you both so much! Make sure you check out both of their blogs and read their answers. Sunshine Blogger Award #4 and #5: The Pentalogy Sunshine Blogger Award Rules If you’ve been nominated, […]

Why I Love Staycations

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll know that I love staycations! Whether that’s being able to explore my home town, taking a road trip through the British countryside, or even having a relaxing week at home. A staycation is the perfect way to spend some time away from the office. And with most places in the UK being relatively close to each other, it’s even easier to get out there and explore. So with that in mind, I’d like to share some of the reasons I love staycations with you. In hope that you’ll choose to […]
