Relax and Unwind: Adult colouring ft Lady Lucas

I love to relax and unwind with an adult colouring book or by doing some oragami. I find both very theraputic and with the clocks going back, the nights are getting longer and days shorter. I enjoy cosy nights in this time of year so will be doing a lot more indoor activities like these. Not only are they relaxing and theraputic, I also get to be creative. 🎨 So when Ashley of Lady Lucas contacted me to review some of her colouring pages, I couldn’t say no! Especially to her cute Halloween designs. 👻🎃💛 Cute characters colouring book This Read More…

Breakfast at The Gateway, South Cerney

On one of our recent shopping trips together, my dad and I stopped in The Gateway at South Cerney for breakfast. Neither of us had been there before but decided to try it out and hoped it would become another of our regular breakfast stops. Spoiler – it has. 😀 The Gateway is situated by one of the many lakes at South Cerney watermark, which I previously mentioned when Ryan and I went paddle boarding earlier this year. It’s a short walk from their in fact and the Costwold Outdoor is opposite, there’s an abundance of free parking and is Read More…

Halloween decorations for every budget

Halloween is on its way! 🎃💛 Which, if you didn’t know already, is my favourite holiday. I love when the shops start putting their Halloween ranges out! Even more so if they do it before putting out their Christmas ranges. 😉 Haha. We always decorate the house for Halloween, ever since my sister and I were children. We had both indoor and outdoor decorations, a carved pumpkin (of course) and I’ve kept up the tradition since moving out 5 years ago. Here are a few of the Halloween items I’ve found that I’m loving this year. I’ve tried to include Read More…

Lunch at LBs Cafe (formally the Swan Yard cafe)

When I posted my Cirencester town guide I spoke about Swan Yard and Blackjack Street which are a couple of little side streets in the town, the former was home to the Swan Yard Cafe which was one of my favourite cafes. It closed a few years ago, changed hands, got a new menu, new layout and a new name, and, I didn’t go back after that. I had nothing against the place, the layout and decor looked great and I hadn’t even tried the new menu which sounded great too, but I didn’t go back. I don’t like change Read More…

The Great Western Brick Show

This weekend my family and I attended the Great Western brick show at the Steam Museum, Swindon. It’s a Lego show but you’ll find no kits on display here (albeit plenty in the dealers room 😉 ). All the Lego displays are customs! Some big, some small but all very impressive. The great thing about the Great Western brick show is the location. It’s in a steam railway museum and you get to tour the museum as you find your way to the different Lego displays, there’s also a great on site cafe selling hot and cold food and, cupcakes! Bar snacks at The Waggon and Horses, Cirencester

A couple of week’s ago Ryan and I met up with my family in one of our local pubs, The Waggon and Horses for a few drinks after work. I was starving, so decided to try one of their bar snacks; chicken in a basket. When I ordered the dish I expected chicken nuggets or some other breaded chicken but was presently surprised to receive chips and two chicken breasts with the skin on, yummy. There were two options for the dish, spicy or non-spicy. I went for spicy and quickly found out the spicy part was the chips. They Read More…
